Professional Skills and Experience: Cecelia Waterman-Santiago has a diverse background with extensive experience in the Financial Services, Energy Healing and Spiritual Counseling areas.
Ms. Waterman-Santiago has over 25 of years of experience in the Financial Industry. As Senior Vice President with Strategy Asset Managers, LLC from 2001 until 2018, she was responsible for heading up marketing and client services on behalf of the firm. Ms. Waterman-Santiago was a Registered Representative (Stock Broker) from 1994 through 2017. Prior to joining Strategy Asset Managers, Cecelia Waterman-Santiago worked with Lexington-ING and its predecessor firm, Lexington Management Corporation, as Senior Vice President of Marketing and Client Services for institutional and private clients. Ms. Waterman-Santiago also held a position in Human Resources at the law firm of Thacher Proffitt & Wood and a position in Client Services at Solomon Equities, Inc.
Ms. Waterman-Santiago has had a life-long love of health and healing. She has been practicing yoga for over 20 years and has been a Certified Yoga Teacher and Reiki Practitioner for over five years. She has taught yoga and meditation to girls (aged 7 through 17) housed at the JCCA (former Jewish Child Care Association) facility in Westchester, NY. She is excited to share her wealth of knowledge and skills with the young people entrusted to the care of House of Rising Sun.

Professional Skills and Experience: Ms. Santiago - Autar has an array of knowledge in the field of Social Work. Ms. Santiago - Autar has worked with various populations that range from child welfare to severe mental illness in addition to development disabilities.
Ms. Santiago - Autar has 15 years of experience working in the social service field and is currently the Director of Aftercase Services at a NY non-profit organization, working within the child welfare system. She has had a great success heading these programs and her leadership has lead to a 99% success rate of keeping children in the community, thus reducing the recidivism of children into the foster care system,
Ms. Santiago - Autar is intensively trained in DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy) as well as DBT's PE (Prolonged Exposure) model to treat trauma. In addition, Ms. Santiago - Autar is intensively trained in DBT-C, which is DBT's evidence based treatment model specifically geared towards children ages 8-13. This training was obtained through the prestigious B-Tech which is training component of the Linehan Institute. The Linehan Institute is headed by the founder of DBT, Marsha Linehan. DBT is an evidenced based treatment model designed to treat individuals with an array of disorders tha result in emotion dysregulation. DBT is cognitive behavioral approach with specific strategies to change thinking and acting patterns to better regulate emotion. Ms. Santiago-Autar has effectively trained other practitioners in this model.
Ms. Santiago-Autar is very dedicated to the field of child welfare. Her passion and drive are to see that all children have the ability to thrive despite their circumstances. She is very excited to play a part in the very crucial and important work The House of Rising Sun will be doing to ensure the successful well being of a very vulnerable population.
